Dog Friendly

Some vacations are better with a dog. Actually, most vacations are better with a dog — and at Fort Sunsets, we think your four-legged family member deserves a great lake vacation just as much as everyone else does. We welcome up to two dogs of any breed or size, because we believe that a well-loved dog belongs wherever their family goes, and a lake house with a dog in it just feels more like home.

Picture your pup discovering the dock for the first time, nose working overtime as the lake breeze brings in a thousand new smells from every direction. Watch them wade into the shallows with the particular joy that only a dog experiencing a new body of water can express. Let them stretch out on the porch in a patch of afternoon sun while the family plays cards nearby, or curl up at the foot of the bed after a long day of adventures that wore everyone out in the best possible way. Dogs have a way of making every moment a little more vivid, and the memories you make with them here will be ones you will treasure just as long as the rest.
